Feeling Overlooked by Others? God Has His Eye on You

Hello All Christian News Family!

Today’s inspiration comes from I Samuel chapter 16:4-13. God sent the prophet Samuel to the house of Jesse to anoint the new king-to-be of Israel. He asked to see all of Jesse’s sons, and waited for God to tell him which one was to be anointed. Numerous sons were brought before Samuel, but the prophet had yet to hear the Lord tell him, “Oh, this is the one!” So, Samuel asked Jesse, “Do you have any other sons?” To this, Jesse replied, “Oh I have one out back tending the sheep.” That boy was David — the youngest son of Jesse. “Bring him in!” Samuel said. Did David’s father think he was undeserving, or did he simply discount him because of his age? We will never know exactly what went through Jesse’s mind, but we know exactly what was on God’s mind. David was THE ONE God wanted to rule over his people.

Don’t get discouraged if you feel people are always overlooking you. There could be a good chance God has HIS eye on you. No one can take away what God has for you.

May we continue to grow spiritually in the Lord together. Until next time, have a blessed day!
