Did You Know That Sept 17, 2017 Is National Back To Church Sunday?

So there is this huge invite for people who’ve not been going to church for a while to change their ways and start attending the services. Somehow, not many people appear to welcome the idea. Some believe this is an unorthodox way of bringing people into the house of God. Many pastors, false pastors to be precise, have resorted to using dubious means to expand their congregations. It’s worrying that even the biblical ways of evangelizing are currently considered outdated by many of these preachers. That’s why some of these pastors are devising their so called modern ways of bringing the sheep to Christ.

One such example is the Sunday service that featured “The Pink Trap House” and was used as a way of attracting youth into the house of God.

Where these people find these teachings in the Bible is still a huge mystery. The Bible doesn’t talk anywhere about ‘pink things’ being used to preach the gospel of the cross. The secular world has influenced the church so much that even the congregation seems to find comfort in these kinds of teachings. It’s no wonder prosperity churches house very large crowds; people who seek not to turn away from their sins and follow Christ, but instead to hold on to their evils and pretend to worship God.

Mathew 7:21 says, “Not everyone that said unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father in heaven.”

What people need to learn is that going back to God should not be something you do once a year and then disappear from His presence for the rest of the 364 days. This is not Christian or biblical. This, however, doesn’t mean that those who are committed church goers are much better than those who don’t go. The most important thing is for you to form a relationship with God.

Even though going to church every Sunday doesn’t necessarily mean you’re holy in any way, it’s important to be in the presence of God so that He can gradually change you for the better. Therefore, the best advice any Christian can give someone who doesn’t go to church is to find one and become a member, with the intention of turning their lives fully to Christ.
