David E. Taylor, who has consistently found himself facing accusations of fraud, is once again in the headlines for all of the wrong reasons. This time he’s facing the music for his most recent scandal. A viral clip of Taylor circulated, displaying the pastor in a conference call confessing how he spends donations to the ‘ministry’.
These videos were released at the end of last year, just before a service was to take place in which he promised his followers that Jesus would appear in bodily form. The service, dubbed “One Night with the King,” helped to shed light on the lies David Taylor propagates. Of course, with King Jesus failing to appear in the service, the veils in the eyes of most of his followers were opened, and they saw the fraudulent nature of David E. Taylor.
This event has led to the withdrawal of most, if not all, of his hopeful donors. According to Taylor, he has been contacted by both CNN and 60 Minutes to give a statement concerning the deposition videos. With the continued pressure mounting against his organization, Taylor has been behaving erratically.
He continues to insist on the physical appearance of Jesus during his services. Such claims have seen his reputation slowly deteriorating. His reaction to the released videos is definitive of a drowning man holding on to a straw. He says that the person who released the videos is racist and is seeking to defame him.
