The gay agenda is a greater threat to the United States than terrorism is. This was the clearly stated belief of Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern in 2008. Since then, Representative Kern has put her beliefs down in a book “The Stoning of Sally Kern”. There are obviously those in the LGBTQ world who disagree with her. Of those, Kern says they are guilty of “stoning God Himself”.
According to Breitbartunmasked, Rep. Kern is now “pushing multiple bills in the Oklahoma legislature that are clearly aimed at making life harder for LGBTQ citizens.” Among the bills are HB 1598 which would give parents the ability to have their gay children undergo “conversion therapy” without fear of prosecution. Opponents to conversion therapy call it a “fraudulent practice of conditioning victims to repress their innate feelings with shame, guilt, and self-loathing”.
HB3044 would mandate that teachers and guidance counselors have parental approval prior to referring children to anybody who might give them information on human $exuality. One of Rep. Kern’s opponents stated, “Clearly, Sally Kern would rather see children kill themselves than let them hear a kind word of support from a friendly voice. Christian!”
She also has bills to end the marriage licenses for those who do not have a stated gender and to protect businesses who choose to not serve the LGBTQ community when the practice would violate their personal morals.
Toby Jenkins is the executive director of Oklahomans for Equality. He says that Kern is looking to take Oklahoma backward. “The courts have already ruled on the legality of same-gender marriages. To take our state backward a decade is obviously what our legislators are trying to accomplish.”
Kern said that she is simply trying to do what is right. She is not attacking gay people. “It’s just that gay people are on the wrong side of the moral issue, so yes they are going to seem like they are attacked.”
