Billy Graham Encourages Christians to Worship and Praise at Home, Not Stadiums

Scheduled for November 7, “My Hope America with Billy Graham,” will probably be the last and greatest crusade of evangelist extraordinaire, Billy Graham, as he celebrates living to a ripe old age of 95 this week.

The event will be broadcast from Graham’s North Carolina home and he has invited more than 800 people to be present while he talks about a new way to get people to come to the Lord, by bringing them into their homes to watch his campaign.

The video presentation will probably be Graham’s last and it will also feature several clips from his past sermons and evangelical crusades.

Those listed to attend the home of Graham during the broadcast include Sarah Palin, Donald Trump, Governor of North Carolina, Pat McCroy, and Christian singer, songwriter and worship leader, Michael W. Smith.

It is still not confirmed if former U.S. president Bill Clinton will attend the event or not but, due to ill health, former president George Bush Sr. will not be attending, and his son, George Bush Jr., will also not be present, due to other engagements.

Graham’s “My Hope” campaign has already been viewed in more than 57 countries worldwide since its first broadcast in 2002 by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). For his last campaign, Graham chose the United States.

According to the BGEA, over 10 million people have come to Christ through the help of the “My Hope” campaign and it has been broadcast in more than 298,000 churches. However, this time the broadcast is not designed specifically for churches but also for Christians’ homes.

The BGEA also states that many countries have benefitted from the “My Hope” campaign including India, where the program was broadcast in 14 different languages and more than 4 million people made a commitment to Christ.

According to BGEA figures, during the “My Hope” campaign in Spain and Zambia, over 8,500 people were trained in more than 1,000 churches and 60,000 people in 6,000 churches respectively.

When the campaign was brought to Haiti, more churches had to be built in order to house the vast number of those who made a commitment to the Lord, according to the BGEA.
