The time has finally come for Dr. Cindy Trimm to start a new walk in life. This is after the 59-year-old got engaged last Sunday. Many Black single Christian women have given her a pat on the back, cheering her on as she makes steady strides towards marriage.
That’s a good thing!
Many people say they prefer marrying a godly woman. But that doesn’t appear to be true in the case of Black women. Despite being the single most religious group in America, they still remain the most unlikely to get married. At times it even gets worrying to see Black Christian men opting to marry outside the church.
That said, we’re happy for Dr. Trimm for her leap and we can only pray that God provides her with direction on how to make her marriage work.
One of her followers wrote the following comment after learning of her engagement: “I believe that Dr. Cindy Trimm getting engaged is going to break the backs of unprofitable lateness in marriage. There are so many powerful women in ministry that’s single. Dr. Cindy Trimm is a general in the Kingdom of God.”
Breaking the news of her engagement on social media, Dr. Trimm said, “Engaged!!! 
I’m so elated and overwhelmed by God’s goodness and faithfulness! My heart is full and I couldn’t be happier to be marrying Russell Tomlinson! #engaged #marriage #love.”
But even as she posted a photo of her sweetheart proposing, that photo raised further questions on her fidelity to the Word of God. Why? She was wearing rugged jeans that some thought isn’t appropriate for someone claiming to be living in Christ Jesus.
“Oh Lord have mercy upon your daughters! Jezebel has overtaken many! What fashion is that now? What does modesty mean? This is wrong!” said one anonymous user on The Old Black Church.
Many people were happy for her engagement though. One user on The Old Black Church blog by the name Joy Bell said “This is a prove that God knows has no age limit . His timing is perfect never late not too early just perfect time.”
And another said, “Oh just Look at God! At 59 God did it! You’d rather wait long than marry wrong! So happy for her Great General of God! We celebrate you Trailblazer Dr. Cindy Trimm!Woman of Great power! Can’t wait for her to land in RSA just 4dayz we will be under her anointing! Yesssssss! Glory to God!This is God!”
Congratulations to Dr. Trimm as she starts her new journey.
