IWhat’s wrong with today’s pastors that they can’t stick to preaching the gospel? Why have pastors resorted to being the devil’s advocates; getting involved in acts that only work to send their sheep away from Christ? It’s no longer possible for a week to pass without reading about a “man of God” involved in some s*x or financial scandal.
The latest news is that of Rev. O. Jermaine Simmons, a Florida pastor who was caught red handed doing it with his church member’s wife, and it happened that the person who busted them was the woman’s husband. Even worse is that they were knocking boots in her daughter’s bed.
If you’re asking about the pastor; whether he’s got a family of his own or not, here is what his website says: “Rev. O. Jermaine Simmons, Sr. is the proud husband of Mrs. Elise A. Simmons, and father of one son, Orinthius Jermaine Simmons, Jr. In lieu of the man, accomplishments and awards that Pastor Simmons has received through the years, it will always be undergirded by his love for the Lord and for his family.”
Local news did rounds in Tallahassee, Florida, that a parishioner was arrested by law enforcement officers after he threatened to shoot Rev. Orinthius Jermaine Simmons, Sr. Simmons, who, according to police reports, pastors Jacob Chapel Church, chose to run away in an undressed state. The report states that the man threatened both the pastor and his wife with a handgun after arriving home and finding the two sweating it out in bed. Realizing how serious the situation was, the woman called the police, alerting the authorities that she had been threatened by her husband after he found her with another male subject.
As investigations continued into the incident, the woman revealed that Rev. Simmons had visited their residence and they had s*x. While still in the act, a staff member at the Apalachee Elementary School attempted to contact the woman to inform her that her son, who’s a pupil at the school, had fallen ill. After she failed to respond to their call, the school contacted her husband, who then went to the school, picked their sick son and transported him home only to find that her wife was lost in cloud nine with their church pastor.
