Former KKK Leader David Duke Supports Trump’s Retweet Of Anti-Muslim Videos

By Victor Ochieng

David Duke is a known supporter of President Donald Trump and he almost supports anything and everything the president does even without questioning. On Wednesday, the former Ku Klux Klan leader praised the president for sharing some Islamophobic videos through his twitter account.

“Thank God for Trump!” Duke wrote on Twitter.

“Trump retweets video of crippled white kid in Europe being beaten by migrants, and white people being thrown off a roof and then beaten to death, He’s condemned for showing us what the fake news media WON’T,” adding, “That’s why we love him!”

In another tweet, Duke shared one of the videos showing Muslim migrants beating up a Dutch boy on crutches. In the tweet, he wrote, “This is why WE LOVE TRUMP and WHY the FAKE NEWS MEDIA HATES TRUMP. He brings to light what the lying, Fake News Media Won’t. The truth is the media cover up horrific numbers of racist hate crimes against White people!”

During early Wednesday hours, President Trump retweeted three videos in which some alleged Muslims were doing bad things. The tweets had initially been posted by Jayda Fransen, a far-right British nationalist and a former convict of hate crimes.

One wouldn’t help but wonder why the president would share videos from such a person and more so considering that none of the videos had been verified. In fact, one of the persons claimed to be “Muslim migrant” has been identified as a Dutch citizen by the police.

People, mainly from the US and UK criticized the acts, but it appeared to simply fortify Duke’s resolve against Islamization.

Among those who criticized Trump for his action was British Prime Minister Theresa May. While that exposed just how reckless the US president is when it comes to handling his Twitter account, it just worked to give a greater platform for Duke, who’s a former Louisiana state representative and a well known white supremacist.

“It is wrong for the president to have done this,’ a spokesperson for PM May said. “Britain First seeks to divide communities through their use of hateful narratives which peddle lies and stoke tensions. They cause anxiety to law-abiding people.”

However, all such words could only work to embolden Duke and his fellow members of the British First group.

Speaking to reporters, Sarah Huckabee Sanders supported President Trump, pointing out that his action can only work to spark a conversation around border security and immigration.

“Whether it’s a real video, the threat is real,” Huckabee-Sanders. “His goal is to promote strong border security and strong national security.”
