Really, what’s this that some of President Donald Trump’s supporters sniff that many of us don’t have access to? From religious leaders supporting him regardless of his immoral behaviors to others claiming morality isn’t a necessity to good leadership, the country, and, of course, the world, must be alarmed.
They’ve now crossed the boundaries, going away from madness to blasphemy.
Mark Lee, a Florida businessman and a fanatic supporter of President Donald Trump, appeared on CNN’s “New Day” on Monday, where he literally demonstrated how politics can soil a man’s judgment. He was part of the show as part of a panel of Trump supporters. What did he say? This man told Alisyn Camerota that even if it’s Jesus Christ who said Trump had a deal with Russia to interfere with the 2016 presidential elections, he’d still be skeptical.
“Let me tell you. If Jesus Christ gets down off the cross and told me Trump is with Russia, I would tell him, ‘Hold on a second, I need to check with the president if it’s true,’” Lee said.
Asked why he’d trust Trump so much over everyone else, including his creator, he responded by saying, “I believe in him. He’s a good man. He has taken so much shots for us … It’s based on everything he’s been doing. He’s been winning.”
Just recently, a report revealed that some members of Trump’s campaign team held meetings with Russian officials ahead of last year’s elections and these individuals failed to disclose such information. The issue is still being investigated.
But even with all such accusations, it appears like Trump supporters haven’t been moved an inch. They’re still supporting the President passionately and are ready to defend him regardless.
“I go to Mar-a-Lago whenever he’s coming in,” Lee said. “I love the guy.”
But that’s typical of many Trump supporters. Many of them strongly believe that all allegations being leveled against the president are baseless and only malicious. This is despite the fact that some information being shared on such issues are by reputable institutions.
Trump supporters believe no one else but Trump. That’s why someone would even have the audacity to say on a live television show that he’d believe Trump more than he’d believe Jesus Christ.
That’s a blasphemous statement that shouldn’t come from someone who claims to be Christian.
