New Allegations Surrounding Bishop Charles Blake

By Victor Ochieng

In an interview with Dr. Earl Carter, Pastor Thomas Cross of Michigan discloses what he knows about presiding Bishop Charles Blake’s alleged homosexuality. Dr. Carter, on the other hand talks of how Blake got arrested for pedophilia in the 1970’s.

Things got heated up last year when Carter fired a scathing attack against homosexuals. His blatant dismissal of homosexuals caught many in the congregation unawares. Unable to come to terms with what Carter said, Blake came out the next day to issue an apology on the church’s behalf. The church, The Church of God in Christ (COGIC), couldn’t withstand the backlash that would follow and so Blake did all within his power to distance his organization from Carter’s uncensored anti-Gay talk.

After that, things haven’t been cool between the two, pushing Blake to sue Carter for $75,000 in damages. It’s also alleged that he went ahead to ask YouTube to bring down a video of Carter connecting him to homosexuality.

In the latest interview, Blake is attacked by both the interviewer and the interviewee. It seems like they’re simply adding salt to Blake’s injury.

Bringing Pastor Cross to the show appeared to have been a strategic move by Carter to show that his talks haven’t been mere rants. In fact, the way Pastor Cross comes forth to even say that he’s ready to testify in a court of law makes the accusations look real.

Pastor Cross claims in the interview that Blake sent Eugene Rivers to silence him and warn him that should he fail to heed, he would kill Cross. As he continues, Cross says he reported the matter to the police and after telling his account, the police told him that should anything happen to him, they knew where to go.

Then Carter interjected and read an article that claimed that Blake had been arrested back in the 1970s over sexual abuse secret records, and that he would be exposed in 2012. It was said that it’s Bishop Ramson who intervened and saved Blake from a possible jail sentence.

From the interview, the two make several different claims, with Carter mostly referring to things he’d been told by Cross. These are things he’s been openly talking about, but at least guys could hear it from the horse’s mouth. Cross revealed that many people, including Blake’s father, have complained about Blake’s homosexuality.

Carter denied claims that they’ve sued Blake, but remained open about suing Blake after all. In fact, he pointed to the fact that it’s actually Blake who sued them.

Carter asserts that being homosexual is manmade and not God’s will.
