Foremost among those who are taking a stance against the mandate in the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), which is trying to force employers to providing health care insurance for contraceptive devices, including abοrtion inducing drugs, is the millions of Catholics around the world and the Roman Catholic Church.
However, if you are thinking of joining the throng of those who are fighting against abοrtions or supporting those who do, you might want to think again, because it seems like the Obama administration might be taking revenge on those who don’t support their views.
During the sainthood ceremony at the Vatican on Sunday for John Paul II and John XXIII, Pope Francis will be joined by former pontiff, Benedict XVI, a host of Cardinals, millions of faithful Catholics from around the world and a delegation from the U.S.
The U.S. delegation will be comprised of three people who oppose the church’s staunch stance on the taking of human life in any form, including aοbrtions, in what some describe as a deliberate slap in the face to the Vatican for opposing the Obamacare mandate, according to NewsMax.
Leading the U.S. delegation will be John Podesta, chairman of the Center for American Progress (CAP) and White House Special Advisor. He will be accompanied by the Democratic member of the House for California’s 34th congressional district, Xavier Becerra and Katie Beirne Fallon, director of legislative affairs for the White House.
All three delegates are supporters of abοrtion rights and Becerra has the support and confidence of the LGBT communities Human Rights Campaign and the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (NARAL), while Fallon has been pushing for support of the contraceptive mandate in Obamacare.
As chairman of CAP, Podesta’s organization has been fighting the Congressional “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act,” (H.R.3), introduce by Christ Smith, the Republican Representative for New Jersey and Dan Lipinski, the Democratic Representative for Illinois.
CAP has also voiced its opinions on why some are fighting against abrt!ons and same-gender marriages as being Christians who are using the Bible to continue their hatred and discrimination against those who oppose their doctrines.
Exactly what Pope Francis will think about the American delegation, we shall have to wait and see, but some believe that the Obama administration are continuing their fight against anyone who opposes their policies, including those on same-gender marriages and abοrtion rights.
